Henry, Emerald Princess and the Ghost Train

*it had been a long, hot summer on the Island of Sodor; a fair had just arrived and children of all ages and species were enjoying themselves immensely with the rides; one morning, Ajax arrived at Knapford Station, to pick up Kitty Katswell, her husband, Fredrick, and their children to take us to the fair*

Fredrick: I bet the fair would be fun, my love ^^

Kitty: Oh yes, I'm sure it will. ^^

Ajax: I hear that the fair's got a ride called "Ghost Train". What exactly IS a ghost train?

Dejiko: *the daughter* Not sure

Kitty: It's a tunnel that small trains run through. Filled with images of skeletons, ghosts, or any other spooky things you can think of.

Ajax: Small trains like Skarloey? Or even the Arlesdale engines?

Fluttertuffs: *was watching from a tree*

Kitty: No, silly. Not like them.

Ajax: I'm glad I don't fit on the rails of a ghost train. I'd be too scared. *they hear Henry's whistle*

Dolly Pink: *yelped a bit as she jumped onto Polly Green*

Polly Green: Careful, Dolliete, my glasses

Dolly Pink: I'm sorry, Polly

*Henry had arrived at the next platform, pulling the express*

Henry: What are you lot talking about? *then he and Emerald Princess saw Ajax shivering*

Fredrick: *to Ajax* Don't worry, it's only Henry

Ajax: It's n-n-n-not that. It's the g-g-g-ghost train...

Henry: Pah! Emerald Princess and I are not scared of things like that. Only little engines and little children are afraid of ghosts.

Emerald Princess:Yeah, even Ghost Princess back at the land of Ooo is our friend.

Dejiko: Okay

*the Conductor, Gumball, Darwin and Anais just came back from the fair, but Gumball had heard what Henry said and reminded him of when Henry met an elephant*

Conductor: What are you doing, Gumball?

Gumball: That's he who got hosed by an elephant.

Darwin: Yeah, remember, Old Square Wheels?

Anais: -_-

Henry: Hmph... *puffs away, with Emerald Princess*

Emerald Princess: *same*

*later*

Henry: I tell you, love, I'm not scared of ghosts. Not like Thomas, Percy or any younger child.

Emerald Princess: Henry can be brave too

Henry: Of course I can, dear.

Conductor: I'm sorry to disturb you two, but part of a tunnel has collapsed. The FlutterTuffs, myself, and some workmen need you take us to the tunnel so we can clean up the mess.

Henry: What? But Emerald Princess and I were just getting ready to settle in for the night.

Anais: I'm afraid this may have to wait, other engines might be around sooner or later

Conductor: She's right.

Henry: Well, hopefully, this will let us get away from all this nonsense about ghosts.

Sonic: Oooo... watch out for ghosts, you guys. Remember, the tunnel's darker at night without a lamp.

Henry: Be quiet, Sonic. There's no --- *Emerald Princess cut him off*

Emerald Princess: Don't make fun of him.

Molly Blue: *looks inside the tunnel while holding a twig as a sword*

Henry: Well, in we go. *pushes the freight cars inside the tunnel*

Polly Green: *looks around too*

Conductor: Okay, we all need to work together to get this mess cleaned up.

*the clean-up went well; everyone cleaned up what rubble they could; soon, Henry began to pull the freight cars out of the tunnel*

Henry: At last... we can go h --- *BUMP! CLANK!; Henry suddenly stopped* Good grief! *the crash shook up Emerald Princess too*

Emerald Princess: What was that?

Conductor: Oh dear, oh dear. *gets out and looks at the wreck* Henry's tender is derailed! Some rubble must've fallen behind him! We can't move forward or backward.

Sonic: *had left to find a telephone; but when he got back, he brought bad news* I'm afraid help won't be here until tomorrow. So we're stuck here for the night.

Henry: Brilliant. That's ALL we need.

Anais: I know

Dolly Pink: *under the tarp, she's scared of the dark*

Conductor: We should try to get some rest, for now.

Sonic: Yeah, black boy here's right.

Henry: I suppose... *after everyone else had gone to sleep, only he and Emerald Princess were still awake*

Dolly Pink: *almost unknown to others, she's too scared to feel any tired while under the tarp*

Henry: *hears shivering under the tarp* Hmm? What's going on in there?

Emerald Princess: *looks under the tarp* Dolly, you're still awake, something wrong?

Dolly Pink: I'm scared...

Henry: Of what?

Dolly Pink: The ghost, I'm scared of it... *hugged her knees tightly*

Henry: It's alright, Dolly. There's no such things as ghosts. That Ghost Train nonsense was all just a ride at the carnival. None of it is real. Here, get in my cab, and warm yourself by my fire.

Dolly Pink: Alright... *fluttered to the cab near the fire*

Henry: Feel better?

Dolly Pink: I think so...

Henry: You should get some sleep, Dolly.

Dolly Pink: Alright... *luckily, Polly, Molly and Holly Purple, the fourth member was in the cab too asleep and she tried to sleep too*

*soon, Henry and Emerald Princess fell asleep too*

*suddenly, Henry and Emerald Princess were startled awake; Henry had begun to move; the freight cars, Sonic, the Conductor, Anais, Gumball, Darwin and the FlutterTuffs were all gone*

Henry: What is all this?! Some sort of joke?

Emerald Princess: I don't know *looks around*

Henry: Where are the others?

Emerald Princess: I don't know, they were there a minute ago

Henry: It's so foggy in here too.

*they heard ghostly moans*

Henry: *gulp*

Emerald Princess: Oh dear...

*a huge, ghostly shape flew toward them*

Henry: AAH!

Emerald Princess: What's happening!?

Henry: I don't know!

*they kept moving slowly through the tunnel; soon, Emerald Princess saw what looked like a station platform, which made both of them feel a bit better*

Emerald Princess: Looks safe

Henry: Yeah. I agree.

*however, when they got closer, they grew scared again; they saw skeletons of Sonic, Anais, Gumball, Darwin, the Conductor, Sir Topham Hatt, and all four FlutterTuffs; they even saw a vampire waiting for the next train*

Henry: AAAAHHHH!!!! GET US OUT OF HERE!

Emerald Princess: *ducks into his cab* I don't like this!!

Henry: Me neither!

*the tunnel kept going, until it rounded a curve; suddenly, Henry came to a stop*

Henry: Oh! Thank goodness. It's over.

Emerald Princess: If only our real friends are here...

*she heard a familiar whistle; it sounded like Gordon's whistle*

Henry: Did you hear something?

Emerald Princess: Sounds like Gordon *then hears Ai-Ya's laughter too*

Henry: And I heard Danni's voice too.

Emerald Princess: This better be our friends.

Henry: I think it is.

*a light grew closer to them, but they'd completely forgotten that they were standing on the same track; then, from around the bend, a shadowy, ghostly Gordon, with a ghostly Danni and ghostly Ai-Ya, rushed toward them with a scream and a roar*

Henry: *eyes widen in fear* A​A​A​A​A​A​A​A​A​A​A​A​A​A​A​A​A​A​A​A​H​H​H​H​H​H​H​H​H​H​H​H​!​!​!​!​!​!​!​!​!​!​!

Emerald Princess: KEEP AWAY FROM US!!!!!!!! *she shield her face with her arms*

Henry: No more! NO MORE! *he blew his whistle long and loud and shut his eyes* NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

*all of a sudden, Henry and Emerald Princess woke up, panting; it had all been a dream; a very scary one*

Emerald Princess: W-What happened...? Where are we...?

Conductor: Are you both alright?

Henry: Ah! *a bit startled* *panting*

Emerald Princess: *shield herself with her arms again*

Sonic: Geez, why're you both so jumpy? You're both acting like you've seen ghosts.

Henry: *opens his eyes* *panting* Th-they're real, l--love... they're real... look...

Emerald Princess: I-I-I know, L-Love...

Conductor: You're both so pale...

Sonic: By the way, Henry, your tender's back on the track. You can go back to the sheds now.

Anais: Is there something wrong, you two?

Henry: N-No... nothing at all. W-We're just fine. *hastily reverses out of the tunnel*

Emerald Princess: We are Not going back in there...

Henry: Not at all.

*back at Tidmouth Sheds*

Gordon: Look, Danni. They're back.

Danni: They look a bit jumpy

Gordon: Where have you two been? You've been away longer than we were expecting.

Sonic: *teasingly* Did you see any ghosts?

Emerald Princess: *did not answer*

Henry: *gulp* W-We said we didn't believe in ghosts. Therefore, n-n-no... we didn't see any.

Emerald Princess: Y-Y-You got that r-r-r-right.

Gordon: I see.

*but we knew exactly what Henry and Emerald Princess saw in their dream, don't we?*
